What the interviews are about

RO-AR interviews are conversations, not productions. The aim is to capture real perspectives on what is happening in the credit and collections industry – the trends people are seeing, the challenges they are navigating, and the approaches that are working.

These are not sales pitches. The audience is practitioners in credit, collections, and related fields, and they respond to substance. The best interviews tend to be candid, specific, and grounded in what the guest actually does.

All published interviews can be found on the RO-AR network pages.

02

How it works, step by step

The process is kept as simple as possible. There is no preparation required beyond being yourself, and no approval process beyond a final review before anything goes live.

1

Initial conversation

A short call – usually 15-20 minutes – to talk through what the interview would cover, answer any questions, and agree a recording date. No commitment required at this stage.

2

The recording

Around 30-40 minutes, conducted remotely. Relaxed and informal. The conversation follows the guest’s knowledge and experience – what they are observing, what is changing, what matters. No script.

3

Editing and production

The full interview is edited and three to four shorter clips are cut – typically the moments that land best with the collections audience. All of this is handled by RO-AR.

4

Review before publication

The output is shared with the guest before anything is posted. If there is something you would rather not include, it can be edited or removed.

5

Publication

The full interview is published on ro-ar.com. Clips are posted on LinkedIn with copy targeting the credit and collections audience. Each clip typically reaches around 1,500 views from practitioners in the sector.

The audience

The LinkedIn distribution is targeted at credit and collections professionals. This is not a general business audience. Guests speak directly to the people buying, operating, and shaping collections services.

Previous guests include organisations across debt purchasing, outsourced collections, software, and fintech.

03

What to expect on the day

Most guests find the conversation easier than they expected, even fun. The format is a discussion, so there is no need to prepare a presentation or stick to a script. Typical topics include what is changing in the market, how your organisation approaches a particular challenge, and what the collections sector needs to think about in the next 12-18 months.

Practical setup

The recording is done remotely via video call. A quiet room and a reasonable internet connection is all that is needed. If you have a headset, use it – audio quality makes a bigger difference than video quality. No professional equipment required.

No charge

There is no fee for participating in our core RO-AR programming. RO-AR produces these videos to generate useful content for the sector audience. The exchange is straightforward: your time and perspective, in return for distribution to the people most relevant to your business.

Examples of previous interviews

The best way to get a feel for the format is to watch a clip or two. A selection is below.

All full-length interviews are published on the RO-AR network pages.
