Since 1993, StepChange Debt Charity has played a leading role in delivering life-changing debt advice. Thanks to our supporters and partners, we’ve pioneered advice and solutions to help people take control of their debts, transforming lives and helping people every step of the way.

We’d like to invite you to join us at our StepChange Connected event, hosted by our CEO Vikki Brownridge. Vikki will set out her vision for the charity and some of the key initiatives we’re collaborating with our partners on, to change customers’ lives.

We’ll be announcing a very exciting guest speaker in the next week or so, this is on top of the confirmed insightful speakers on the day, including:

• Sheldon Mills, Executive Director of Consumers and Competition at the Financial Conduct Authority will be delivering a keynote speech reflecting on the introduction of the Consumer Duty and taking questions from our audience
• Justin Basini, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder at ClearScore will be discussing the role of credit information and cross-sector collaboration in identifying and supporting financially vulnerable customers
• Paul Lamont, Product Director at Experian will be discussing our partnership and how we’re working together to identify and support vulnerable customers with additional needs
• Paul Chong, Chief Operating Officer at Ophelos will explore the growth of AI technology and how it could shape customer engagement and the delivery of customer centric debt advice in the future
• Neil Taylor, Journey Developer at NatWest will share how our new joint pilot service is providing bespoke support to self-employed customers
• Plus, a panel of StepChange clients will be sharing their experiences of problem debt and what they wish their creditors had known
