Debt advice under the current FCA regime
With the CONC 8 review having been suspended and the increased supervisory work around the quality of debt advice, I am now observing the depth of case file reviews from the FCA. These don’t seem to have the objective of writing a paper on good and poor practices observed. CONC 8 hasn’t been reviewed for 11 years, but is constantly referenced in feedback with limited join up with the Duty, FG21/1, the “Dear CEO” letter from February 2023, the digital journey progress and other areas like AI, operational resilience and financial resilience.
