I was delighted to chair one of the Credit Strategy creditor roundtables on Monday last week. There was a strong focus on the Consumer Duty and the outcomes of IVAs. Creditor voting and IVA variations were ‘hot topics’.

The UK economy unexpectedly grew in the final 3 months of 2024 following a boost to the construction and services sectors. The economy expanded by 0.1% between October and December, according to ONS figures. In the US, inflation rose to 3% in January 2025, its highest rate for 6 months, and above the 2.9% expected by economists. Donald Trump’s economic and political plans may have repercussions in the UK.
