General update   

I have posted several bulletins and LinkedIn posts this week with breaking news. I think that it is significant that UKRN has issued a joint “Dear CEO” letter around the cost-of-living crisis with the logos of the FCA, Ofcom, Ofgem and Ofwat. I posted on this during the week. Letter attached.

UKRN has been working closely together with 4 of their members – the FCA, Ofcom, Ofwat and Ofgem – as part of our cost-of-living working group. The joint letter sets out shared expectations across the 4 regulators on how firms in their respective sectors deal with customers in financial difficulty. As an immediate next step, following on from HM Treasury’s announcement, UKRN together with the above members, will also consider what their shared expectations are in relation to debt collection across different sectors.
