The UK economy grew in the 3 months to June 2023, according to ONS where GDP increased by 0.2% in Q2 and was up 0.5% in June alone. However, a sharp rise in tax payments and cuts to energy subsidies in the UK were to blame for a steep fall in household incomes during the first 3 months of the year, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
