Web chat usage has dropped as automation increased. Email costs also decreased but are less utilized.

Steve Morrell notes that full automation impacts web chats more than emails.

The correlation is clear: higher automation leads to lower costs per channel. This pattern could extend to phone channels in the future, although AI adoption is still in its early stages.
